Ricon Strengthens Management Team


Panorama City, CA - Ricon Corporation has announced the addition of key executives to its’ management team:


*Andreas Boch Vice President & Managing Director of Ricon – Europe

*Keith Nippes Vice President of Sales & Marketing Ricon Bus Products

*Jon Mitcham Director of Product Assurance


Vice President & Managing Director - Ricon – Europe


Andreas Boch comes to Ricon Corp. from German tailgate lift manufacturer, MBB Corporation, where he was responsible for MBB’s Accessibility and Export Products Division. In this newly created position, Andreas brings a wealth of international experience and a thorough understanding of the diverse European accessibility industry; including Personal, Commercial and Transit/Rail markets. Through the aegis of newly formed Ricon GmbH, Andreas will be responsible for all of the company’s activities in Europe, the UK and Middle East including management oversight of Ricon’s UK based distribution and service operations.

Vice President of Sales & Marketing - Bus Products Division


Keith Nippes joins Ricon following a distinguished 25-plus year career in the North American transit industry. Previously with the Vapor Bus Division of WABTEC and as a former director at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), Keith brings a wealth of technical and industry knowledge to this newly created position. Keith will be responsible for the Sales and Marketing of Ricon’s new bus window (Transit Care Inc.) and door products, and he will also be heavily involved with new product development. This addition positions Ricon Corp to become the only integrated solutions provider of window, door and accessibility products to the North American transit industry.


Director of Product Assurance


Jon Mitcham returns to Ricon after a five-year hiatus. During this time Jon was Director of Quality Assurance at STADCO, a leading supplier of ultra-precision components for Defense/Aerospace applications. In his previous assignment at Ricon, Jon was directly responsible for the company’s successful implementation of ISO-9001 standards. With the addition of the two new product lines (windows & doors), and with recent lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, a comprehensive product assurance plan that keeps pace with the changing manufacturing environment is a necessity. Based at the Los Angeles facility, Jon will lead the effort to ensure that all of Ricon’s products set the standards for quality and reliability.
